Problem with computer restarting

hi. i was just wondering if someone could help me out. for the past week, my computer has been just restarting by itself. it happens about 2-3 times a day. when i leave the room, i usually just turn off the monitor and when i come back and turn it back on, the computer restarts. does anyone know what's wrong?

i've had the computer since the beginning of the year and have never had any problems before. i'd leave the computer on for weeks at a time with no problems, but this just started happening. any help would be much appreciated. thanks a lot.

First, go to control panel ->system ->advanced -> startup and recovery. Turn off automatic restart.

Now instead of just rebooting it should give you an error message. That should help you solve this.
