Problem with Cingular

I upgraded my phone with Cingular with a phone off of the internet. I had read reviews and it sounded pretty awesome. I received the phone and paid with Visa credit card. After playing around with it for a few days, I realized that it didn't do what I needed it to. I contacted Cingular and was instructed to send phone back and they sent out a different phone. I was charged for new one and was told when they received old one, I would receive refund. The tracking number says it was delivered but I have not received refund on credit card. Should I dispute the charge?

Cliffs:
Ordered phone, Charged to Visa
Didn't like phone - sent back for refund
Ordered another, Charged to same Visa
Tracking number indicated they received phone
No refund issued
Dispute charge?

What sort of time line are we talking here? Refunds can take a few days or more.

The tracking number indicates that they received phone on 2-20. Should it take eight business days?

If you do it too much... your it won't look good on your CC

Maybe try to threat them with consumer reports and switching...
Tell them you run a website or something.. haha

Just call them and ask why you haven't received the refund yet. You have the tracking # so you're all set.

It takes them a long time to credit the card on a return phone..like more than 30 days..ridiculous i know..call them to complain but it probably won't help much

If it could take them 30 days for an automatic payment setup (which I did online) to kick in, 9 days after they got your phone is nothing. At least wait until 2-3 weeks before you call.

No, you should not file a Credit Card dispute. That charge was for the new phone and was legit. The refund you would receive would be from the previous phone and not the new one. Call them and chew them the hell out about it though.
