I'm trying to burn a data CD using the built in Windows CD burning, but whenever I click I try, it gives me the error "There was an error in the writing process. The disc you have attempted to write may no longer be usable."
There is not a problem with the CD burner, as I can still burn music CDs using iTunes.
I have tried many, many CD's, none of which work.
I'm not really sure what the problem could be... I don't even know where to begin testing to troubleshoot to a more specific solution, so could anyone tell me what the problem might be, or what to do to come closer to fixing it? Thanks
Edit: I forgot some info that might help... It doesn't burn ANYTHING to the CD, it goes straight from asking me to name the CD to the error screen. Absolutely no time or drive activity in between. I've also tried disabling and re-enabling the drive. No luck.
I also installed a program called DeepBurner, which is a free burning program. It works fine, but I would still like to figure out why my WinXP burning doesn't work.
