i installed the new cats and wasn't having any problems, but now i get a pop up a few times a day asking me to register my video card. at first i just told it to remind me later, but after a while i told it "never remind me to register" thinking it would go away. a few hours later the pop up came back. so i registered my card. 3 times. it still keeps coming back!!! so aggrevating, but why?

Which video card? This sounds more like a 3rd-party program (or even a very clever virus), rather than something that came with the 3.5's. Is there an obviously-labelled reminder program in your Startup folder that you can just delete?

I agree, mine haven't given me any problems when I said I didnt want to register. It sounds fishy to me...

Are you logged in as someone with Admin rights when you did the registration?

I've encountered stubborn programs in the past and still seeing them that absolutely must have an Admin change settings before it sets it down in concrete. Might just be what you're encountering??

What OS do you use and are there any shortcuts in your Startup folder?

Let's try this one more time, because I'm curious as to why you go that msg:

Are there any programs listed in your Start > Programs > Startup folder?

Did you have the AV app running in the background when you installed the new drivers?
