problem with booting

When I boot my computer says invalid system disk or a couple of other errors. The thing is when I have it boot from cd first and not press any key to boot to cd it finds the valid disk(74 gig raptor). The boot setup before was harddrive cd floppy. Now it's cd harddrive floppy. I don't want to have to wait for the prompt to boot from cd and have to keep a boot cd in the drive everytime I start my computer. Anyone know what's causing this? (I'm using all updated drivers)

To change your boot order, go into your BIOS settings (usually the <DEL> key) while posting and it will take you there.

I am not familiar with the BIOS used on that particular board, but the setting for boot order is usually on the second or third page.

I've changed the boot order all around that's not the problem. The problem is if it tries to directly boot from harddrive it fails. I have to have it detect a boot cd not boot from it and then go to harddrive detection to boot.

The last time I saw that error, I had left a floppy in the drive and it wasn't a boot floppy so it gave me that error. You don't have a floppy left in there by chance do you?
