Problem with Blackberry email

Have a problem with my BB email indicator. My unit has 3 email accounts displayed on it. This is a personal unit, no Exchange server connection. Yesterday one of my accounts was flagged invalid and I had to delete and reconnect it. Initially after reconnecting this email account was flagged as having one unread message regardless of what was actually there. I went in it and switched through the various folders and managed to clear the erroneous 1 unread message indicator. However, now I never receive an updated count when new messages appear (this is just on the actual individual email folder, the number in the upper left does update). The other email folders still operate normally.

Try a reboot. Pop the battery out and wait 10 sec, then in again.

Did that once and nothing. Had to do it again today cause I went to gamestop by accident and it locked up my unit. This time after doing the hard cycle my email indicator for that account started to show up normally again.
