problem with Belkin 4 port router rebate @ staples

i cant find the old thread for this deal so i post a new one.

you guys remember the deal for Belkin 4 port router we got in the mid of May? i just tracked my rebate on Staples.com and saw this message:

i think those who got this deal (should i call it a "deal" now?) may get the same problem. please update everybody about your rebate's status. i think we r gonna do something about this to get back the rebate that we deserved

there are two posibilities:
1. i have sent the wrong rebate infomation (but i remember they didnt require the UPC, did they?)
2. staples screwed up the deal.

cuz i just saw the rebate didnt require the UPC, so i did watever they want me to do.

Mine shows valid two weeks ago. You do have a copy of what you send them, right? You can just fax it to 1-800-886-8370

Go back to your local store, they can validate the rebate for you....still gonna take a few weeks though.
 

It's very simple. All you have to do is go to your local Staples, with the right attitude, and speak with a manager. They will straighten out the situation for you.

I live outside of LA, Cali. I could not live without A/C, it has to one of the best inventions of all times, especially when I go to Vegas.

I wonder what you were thinking not sending in the UPC

I imagine he was thinking that since these rebate companies are so anal about people following their directions to a tee, that they should practice what they preach and send him the rebate since they didn't ask for the UPC. Very simple. By the way, I bought the same router and it did in fact just ask for the store receipt. I sent only a copy of the pink packing slip, no UPC, and I received my rebate this week. The way these rebate companies do business, it wouldn't surprise me if they rejected a rebate for sending in the UPC when it wasn't asked for.

It seemed fishy to me, so before I mailed mine I contacted StaplesRebates.com and got an email confirmation that no UPC is required. Printed it out and stapled it to my forms. Of course, the Parago idiots will no doubt botch it up anyway and deny my rebate, but a phone call is all it usually takes to have them approve it "since you're such a valued customer".

if you had printed out the form, it says:

To Receive Rebate:
1. Print and Fill Out Form
2. Include UPC and Sales Receipts in an envelope
