Problem with Audio w/ 2 diff sets of speakers!

I got a gigabyte ga7n-400l motherboard with the integrated AL97 codec audio.

I tried installing both the z2200 (before i returned them) and the z560's that I just got recently.

The subwoofers on both sounded like they were working but the satellites would sound horrible and were barely even recognizable as to what they were playing.

On the back of the motherboard where the audio inputs go there are 3 colored inputs. The only one that seems to make sense is the green one, as the speakers of both the 2200 and the 560 had the matching green plug. but the speakers also have a black plug and I have no idea where that one goes. On the back of the motherboard the other 2 colored plugs are blue and red, and I really don't know what they are even for.

Anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? It is obviously either a problem with the motherboard, or how I am installing the speakers into the motherboard that is the problem. Considering both sets of speakers did the same thing, I think I can rule them out.

Bump again, if no one knows the answer point me in the right direction if possible! I appreciate it
