hey guys I now get these messages upon loading Windows XP and/or trying to open the Catalyst Control Center...

cli.exe - Application has generated an exception that could not be handled. process id = 0x1e0 (480), thread id = 0x1e4 (484).

CLI.exe - Application has generated an exception that could not be handled. Process id = Ox214 (532), thread ID = 0x21c (540).

This is after installing Windows XP SP2... I have reinstalled the .NET Framework 1.1 and the CCC to receive the same exact message. I don't really understand why its doing this, so please help out? ATI's site sucks.

I have a 2.4 ghz P4, 512MB RDRAM, Win XP SP2, Radeon 9700, Im using latest Catalyst Drivers (5.1 I believe), the drivers work fine, I can play games... but I get that when trying to load the CCC.

Im sure thats the CCC, well thats what I googled it to be anyway. Thanks guys!

If you restart the .Net runtime ( "ATI Catalyst Control Center" program group>Advanced>"Restart Runtime", does it start up?

Well, would you care to elaborate for me? I don't really know how to go about fixing this.. I have tried reinstalling both parts, that doesn't seem to work. It must be within the .NET... would SP2 corrupt that? even so, I reinstalled it. Ah! Lemme know..

I know alot of folks that had issues with .Net runtime, installed the .Net v2.0 beta and it fixes alot of these types of issues, but I don't know if it would apply to your issue. Beyond that, If you've reinstalled Catalyst Drivers and CCC, and you have a working installation of .Net runtime and it still doesn't work..I don't know what to suggest.
