Hey everyone. Just wondering if anyone had any input that might help me. I just got done building a new gaming rig http://pcpartpicker.com/p/rvb2D3. Everything on it is working, but I can't get the Asus RoG PG278Q to work. I have it hooked up to another monitor via DVI and it works fine that way. All the latest drivers and BIOS's are installed. The PG278Q comes on fine, it displays the RoG logo and then says "No Signal" before going into standby so I know it has power.
I have tried all three of the Gigabyte G1's displayports. I even tried the motherboards displayport. I have tried multiple displayport cables. Unfortunately, it is the only computer I have with displayport, so I can't check it that way. The only input the monitor offers is displayport so I can't try anything else.
Is there anything I am missing here? Normally monitors are plug and play, but I just wanted to make sure there isn't something different with G-Sync. I read some old forum posts of people having similar problems and most just said it was a problem with the video card BIOS. No solutions though.
I called Asus and they just told me to take it back to the store I got it from. Unfortunately, it is 1 hour from me and I would like to avoid that if possible. I am also concerned that if I exchange it I will have the same issue with the next one. So now I am left wondering if I should just find a different monitor. Unfortunately, it is the only 1440p G-Sync monitor available at my local Micro Center.
