My rig is in the sig. When I boot up my ASUS P2B mobo (BIOS 1012) the memory test keeps running, long after it has checked all the memory, it just loops and loops and loops. I tried flashing the BIOS to the hardware monitoring version of rev1012 and the probelms started on the reboot after saving default BIOS settings. I flashed back to the reg BIOS rev1012, and it still happens... Any clue, anybody?

This may seem like a daft question, but there is a chance that it will answer your problem:

When you say it loops and loops, does it do so more than 3 times. If quick POST is disabled in the BIOS, then the system will do a full Power On Self Test. A full POST (at least on my P2B-S BIOS 1013-007) will perform the memory check 3 times before continuing.

If my description matches your symptoms then setting Quick POST to ENABLE in the BIOS should sort out your problem.
If not, well I tried.
