I read on nforcershq.com that some of these boards shipped with batteries that were too weak. So I took the battery out of mine to determine whether it was or not, just to be safe I bought a new battery. Now when I try to start my machine it runs but nothing shows up on the monitor, I tried both the new battery and the old one and it made no difference. I checked my graphics card and it is ok, I reset the CMOS, and that didn't help either, does anyone have any idea what is the problem? Thanks!

Did you set the CMOS so the default monitor is AGP (assuming your vid card is AGP)?

Lol, don't worry about being a hardware n00b. If you're not getting a video signal, I'm not sure how the previous person could expect you to change the BIOS settings. At this point you should just exchange the board if it's been a recent purchase. I just picked one up myself and had no problems, so don't lose hope on this board.

Do you get any error beep codes?

I had a similar problem with a A7N8X Delux. Mine gave me a warning by having scrambled graphics when I booted on day, about 3 weeks after I installed it. A couple of days later -- no graphics. I went through the system component by component and determined the M-Board was the problem. RMA'd back to the store (30 day policy) and bought a second one to get going again. Not one problem since with the new one and when the replacement for the dead one came I rebuilt my wifes computer with it and both run wonderfully.

RMA the board for a replacement.
