Problem with Asus A7N266-VM(AA)

This is probably the 4th system I've built with this board and the first time I've encountered this problem. Basically when running the onboard vga you get some visual distortion like weird lines, and it locks up semi frequently, tossing in an AGP card solves the problems. So do you think the onboard vga is screwed or do you think I have done something wrong?

Athlon xp 1800+ (thoroughbred)
kingston 512mb pc2100
WD 80gb hd
optorite 48x burner
inwin case w/300watt psu
no pci cards

That sounds like a defective GPU, and with you having experience with the board I doubt it's your fault so RMA is my advice.

Were all of the systems exactly the same??
I mean were the PSUs, memory etc the same??
I just put together a new system with this MB,
256K Kingston RAM, Antec case and 350w PS
without any problems. I'm using the built-in
graphics and I installed the ASUS CD drivers.
