Problem with and old Comp

I currently have an ol dcomp and it's been 5 years since i bought it since then i never had any problem with it until recently....

I have a compaq Presario 5000 series 5bw127
P3 650mhz
Geforce 2 Mx 400 62mb
382 Mb Ram ( 2 no names)
145W PSU

About 3 weeks ago i bought a 1ghz processor
and just about 2 days it sated rebooting every time i closed a window or about 60 seconds after i logged in.
So i tried reformating and doing a clean install, but i'd say 30 min installation, it starts againat those a rebooting loop...

could it be the power supply?
help me!!!!!!!

What other components do you have the PS running? 145W is pretty weak.
The 1GHz requires a little more wattage than the 650.

i have an ethernet card and 4 USB ports.
One DVD drive, one Burner, and 2 hard drives (40 gig and 14 gig)

How about 5400rpm or 7200rpm HDs?
How about optical drives?
How about fans?
Eveything that pulls power from the PS or fans plugged into your MB?

Both hardrives ar 54000rpm,
i have one fan on the cpu and psu has one too, that's it.
2 drives : Dvd drive and Cd burner

The first thing I'd change is that sad PS, if you want to run all that.
