uninstall drivers and reinstall. Try setting your AGP texture to 4mb.

Use Driver Cleaner to remove all old drivers.

Then reinstall the latest driver you can find for the card.

You may have some corrupted fragments floating around in there if you've installed various versions of drivers many times, sometimes that kind of thing can cause real problems.

G'Day WCAJoker,

As far as I know... If VPU Recover is coming in to play, your graphics card is basically throwing up a white flag. It could be overheating, or badly overclocked... Have you checked to see if the card's fan is still running when you start the games, or if there's enough air going through your case?

And of course, if you get that error message again, write it down, pronto, so that someone can have a look at it ;)

Finally, are you using the latest Omega drivers? I use the straight CCC drivers from ATi, and have since my 9550 days (it's still kicking around in the family), so maybe you should give them a go...? Once ALL other graphics drivers are removed, of course. :p

*Edit*

Good advice from Denithor - sometimes old drivers just won't go away...

Have a go at those, then let us know what the result is. Good luck!

ok ive done everything you have said, now just to test it :D,anyway i remember that the VPU thing says something like: VPU Recover has reset ur processor, becuzz it didnt respond to display driver commands :S something like that >_> :) and there is those buttons, which WE ALL HATE lol, send error report & don't send >_>
