Similar to this one here.

I have 4 computers that i'm trying to get to share an internet connection.
3 of them are up and working.
1 has win95 w/ linksys nic card.
1 has win98 w/ some allied telesyn nic card
1 has winME w/ linksys nic card

The one that is not working has

WinME with an onboard nic card.

It has the same settings as the other ME and 98 machinces but won't connect to the internet or browse the network.

Any ideas?

Click "Start" then "Run" and type "winipcfg" and hit okay. Switch the adapter to the Network Card, does it have an IP assigned to it by the router? Check your cable. Can you ping any of the other computers? Also, Not being able to browse the Network doesn't mean a whole lot (WINS has always had issues)

What have you already tried so far?

What protocols are you using for your internal network?

Is the problem computer picking up an IP from router that is in the same region as the others?
Do you have the router set as dhcp?

Have you removed the NIC on the computer and restarted the computer to let it reinstall it?

Well I got impatient and went out and bought a nic card and it worked fine, so i guess the onboard one was busted.

Btw-On a related note how would you get the router to assign a computer an IP?

The client computer would need to be set to Obtain IP Address and the Server (or router in this instance) would need to be set as DHCP.
