Problem with 285gtx

I'm running vista and xp on dual monitors. Everything went fine installing on vista. My main monitor is 22in 1680x1050 and second is 24in, my problem is on second monitor the max resolution it will allow is 1680x1050. In windows display it only goes up to 1680 but in nvida control it will let me select 1920 for second monitor but it doesn't change it when i click apply. Any ideas?

I replaced a 4870 x2 with this card because i had nothing but problems with the driver. Something i found interesting 3dmark advantage cpu score was like 14k w the 4870 and 38k with the 285. The video score was about 1k less with the 285

What happens when you use the 24 inch for your main?


What type of score were you expecting?

In nvidia control panel it lets me preview it at the right res but once i hit next both monitors go to 1680 with 24 as main and the 22 as main

Thats just because vantage uses physx in the cpu test giving you the inflated score. Turn off physx and watch the score drop to 4870x2 score. I drive a 24' and my 720p tv together with my 4870x2 no problems. Are they both connected through dvi? Did you install the driver for both monitors?

Yeah they are both connected with dvi and drivers are installed. Confusing part is why it works with vista and not xp. Better yet with the 4870 only one monitor would work because i couldn't get ccc to load but everything worked perfect on xp
