everytime i try to install windows I get a cannot copy some file error anyone know why this is happening?

if it is a burned copy try it from the cdrw drive

or if the cd is scratched try cleaning it really good

these are the most common reasons it wont copy

you might try it with the copy files to hdd option as this works too

hope this helps

its weird I used my legal copy on my friends computer it works, but the illegal copy wont copy the files is it a copy protection ting from microsoft? I am going to buy my friend windows xp

It may be as I now I tried to make a backup of a windows 98se dsik once and had similar problems....It may have been copying procedure....

I know I have heard of ppl copying it successfully so there must be away around it....

Just get a legit copy!!!😉

I had same problem as mentioned above once...smudge on underside of disk...

Also I installed off of my liteon 16x48 and it runs fine...maybe he meant one of the newer liteon cd-rw drives.
