Whenever I reboot, I have to clear cmos and wait at least overnight in order for the pc to come back up again. I don't get any response at all. The board goes straight to FF code and doesn't cycle through anything else. No beep codes or error codes. I'm not overclocking either.

Sys specs

amd 900 duron
epox 8k7a mobo non raid
256 crucial ram
40gb quantum hdd
9.1 gb quantum hdd
3com 10/100
dlink 10/100
sb live 5.1
pioneer dvd rom
LG cdrw
ati radeon 64mb ddr vivo

Can anyone help?

do you have a printer that is on connected to the lpt1 port? the epox doesn't like that for some reason

otherwise you can try discharging the capacitors by pulling the plug out of the back pushing the power button on the front then putting the cord back in and then try to push the power button

The thing is, this is an rma board. the first had a diff problem, totally unrelated. I dont' have a printer hooked up to it. Tried Mchammer's method, it worked the first time, but after reconfiguring the bios/cmos, i had to save and exit and after that it all went back to its past state; which is pretty much useless.
