I've got an issue w/ my new computer. This was my first build. I put together:
3000 a64
chaintech vnf3
mushkin 3200 512
Antec 3700
IOmagic dvd rw
Generic floppy
SATA Hitchachi 120g
When I booted the computer it brought up, "Disk Boot failure, insert system disk and press enter." Above that, it had, "For Realtek RTL8139(x)/8130/810x PCI Fast Ethernet Controller v2.13 (020326)
PXE-061: Media test failure, check cable
PXE-MOF: Exiting PXE Rom.
I figured the comp. was searching for a network but I'm not connected to one. So, I placed my windows xp disk in my drive and restarted. I got the same message. I restarted again and entered the bios and changed the boot order so the comp. looked at my dvd drive first. Still, I got the same message.
This is my first build and I have no clue where to go from here. Any help is appreciated.
