problem w/ catalyst 4.1's

I've installed catalyst 4.1's into my system (Radeon 9000 AIW). every time I boot it goes back to 640x480. I've tried manually uninstalling everything ATI and reinstalling. Same thing. I've uninstalled and reinstalled in safe mode, same thing. I've used ATI's uninstaller utility. Same thing.

Now I've put Cat 3.1's back in and it's doing the same thing. Arghh.

:Q , that's odd... maybe a background program, it happened to me with gamma correction and Adobe gamma loader. It was frustrating to see everything pink each time I was in windows. I had to go to the color tab in every boot till I realized it was gamma loader. You may have a similar problem.....
