Problem viewing streaming data. internet drops connection.

Every time I attempt to watch a streaming video or listen to music, my internet connection gets dropped. I have to then unplug the router for a few seconds and plug it back in to get it back up. I have Bellsouth DSL with a Westell modem connected to a Linksys Wireless Router (WRK54G), but the video that I'm attempting to stream is connected via ethernet cable. Any ideas?

I have a similar issue with a roadrunner cable configuration, motorola surfboard modem, and a D-Link DI624. Connection seems fine for email and web browsing but immediately drops off with any bandwith load be it streaming or file transfers over 20MB. Dunno if its the built-in chipset or compatability issues with winXP. I'd be interested as well in any specific solutions.

In terms of DSL and wireless disconnections, I read somewhere to make sure that UPnP or something similar is enabled and to set your wireless channel selection to 'auto select.' Tho this may only apply to D-Link routers.
