Problem User Issue. User profile information question.

A problem user did not like my posting valid reasons why a "Hot Deal" was invalid. They took it upon themselves to post my name and also my email address.

I don't have a problem with that, except that I thought my email address was set to not be displayed.

Can you tell me what I need to do to fix this?

Thank you.

If you insist on continuing to cause a ruckus on these forums, you might want to consider taking your name out of your profile as well before somebody starts to prank call you or drop by, because it sure looks like you're listed in the phonebook.

If you click Profile & then go into Personal Options, you can select which personal items you want displayed.

Are you sure? Maybe it's someone else with the same name 😛

Right now your e-mail address is not visible.
You have a first/last name , city and state visible.

IF you are that concerned, send a PM request to the mods, explain the situation and ask for the offending post to have the relevant infomration be remove.

Case solved.

A quick search reveals your handle 'Gentle' as a member of a lan party group in St Louis with your email publicly displayed.

Maybe you caused a ruckus at one of these lan parties, and caused someone you irritated to follow you to the internet message boards. Or maybe causing a ruckus on these message boards caused someone to track you down with a simple internet search.

Let this be a lesson. Actively looking for trouble by behaving like a three year old a LAN parties or by repeatedly trolling the message boards only leads you to trouble.

Also learn that even if you do not consider your repeated and repetitive posts as a trolling, apparently everyone else does.

Ah, so someone went out of their way to dig me up then.

Thanks for solving this for me NotAnn.

Drop it

You are starting to create a shoving match where there is no need for one.

You are allowed to post your comments in the relevant thread.

How you user info was posted in the thread is the issue.

As has been stated, your information is not visible via AT to other users.

As NotAnn stated, your information may be available elsewhere.

Granted, the offending poster should not have posted your information, however, the situation should have been handled through PMs with the Mods (as suggested above).
