I built a system with the Asus P3V4X last year with 128 MB 100MHz RAM. I recently decided to upgrade it to 256 MB. With the price of RAM being so cheap, I decided to go with 133 MHz. I removed my old PC100 128 MB chip and put in the new PC133 256 MB chip. The system started up without any problems and Windows 2000 seems to recognize it fine. Lately, though, I have started having some unexplained problems with my system since the upgrade and I don't have the old chip to put back in.

I could swear that there has to be some setting that needs to be changed in the BIOS to switch the FSB from 100 to 133, but I can't seem to find it and there isn't anything I can find in the Asus manual about it. Is it automatic? Any advice?

which cpu are you using?? you only change your FSB setting if your over-clocking . what is the CAS rating of your ram? what is your ram timing set to in your bios? 222 or 333 ??
