Problem shutting down

Sometimes when i shut down my computer, usually after driving it nutz with DarkReign2 3D RTS game, it will go to the windows98 screen saying shuting down which is normal but instead of seen that screen i see it but all blurry like if it was wet paint and someone spread it with their hand left and right so its all weird and it will stay there and not shutdown.

Any help how i can stop this?
 
hmm.. i think that happened to me once... or maybe not.. but check your system resources/ task manager 2 c if anything is still running before u shutdown. only other thing i can think of is windows update. =) hope that helps.. good luck
 
A complete reinstall of windows should fix the problem. I have made an effort to reinstall windows every 3 months, that way everything runs clean.

I wish there was more Linux compatability.
