Problem Sharing Files through Wireless LAN

I have a D-Link 512+ that connects to my PC. I also have a laptop, but for some reason i cannot share any files through the wireless. I'm running WinXP Pro on both and performed the network setup and all that. But still not showing my Laptop. But when I run a wire from my laptop to the router, I can access my PC files just not wireless.

Can someone Help? Thanks

Make sure the Windows XP firewall is not enabled on the wireless connection, and that File and Printer Sharing IS enabled on that connection.

Welcome to the network forum.

There should not be relation between Wireless and Sharing.

You might not have a Wireless connection.

Can you use the Internet with the Wireless connetion?

If your software shows signal that does not mean that you have a connetion.

Log to this page it has a lot of links to instructions to Windows Network Settings, and Sharing.

Link to: Windows Network - Installing & Sharing.

Thanks for the welcome and the replies.

Yes, I can access the Internet fine. Everything looks right, it's just not showing any workgroup computers at all. The WorkGroup Is the same, and I ran the network set up on all computers the same as well. I'll try turning off, but isn't that bad?
