problem restoring boot drive image

Hi, I used macrium reflect (free version, hence no support) to make an image of my boot drive (a dell SSD). I am storing it on another drive without an OS. I had to format the boot drive. Now when I try to use the macrium boot CD to restore the drive, it isn't working. The boot disk loads fine, but when it tries to copy the original image to the clean SSD, it just stalls at 0% complete. I couldn't find any threads about this on the macrium site.... I'm using my phone to type this and I'm not sure of what else to try. Any advice?

Thanks

If there is some other site that might be more likely to help, could you please link me? Or, if this is more likely to be in the software forum, please let me know, or if a mod wouldn't mind moving it there for me it would be great! Thanks so much...

Try changing SATA modes (legacy IDE, native/RAID, AHCI). have you tried both kinds of restore CDs? If not, do so.

If you have a mechanical drive, maybe see if you can restore it to that (not partition size changes). If that works, you could then have the option to dd it to your SSD (I get it that probabley went over your head, but unless you can restore to another drive, that won't matter 🙂).
