Problem printing to Distiller

I have been having this issue with both Distiller printer, and the free abobe Postsript printer.

When I try to print, it opens a window asking for a file name. I provide the file name, and then get the following error:

There was an error found when printing the document
"...my document name" to C:\...\...\*.pdf.

For some reason it thinks I tried to print to "*.pdf". Happens every time. help?

Have you tried using the Acrobat PDFWriter printer instead? Or do you want your document(s) in PostScript format instead? Also, when posting problems like this, it helps if you post your OS Version and Version of Acrobat.

Win2k SP3, Acrobat 5.0.5

And no, I did not install PDF writer. As far as I can tell, it is only used to print simple documents from MS office, no?

PDFWriter is used to print PDF Documents from ANY Windows Application that has a "PRINT" function. It installs as a PRINTER just like the Distiller Printer is installed as a printer. Install it and give it a shot.
