I Just recently put in my sapphire radeon 9800pro and everything went fine for about 2 hrs then my monitor went black and shut off while i was playing counterstrike. Restarted my computer and rejoined counter strike few seconds later it shut off again...

What the hell is going on? can my system not handle it?

Or maybe am i overheating the card and needs a new fan? if i need a new fan could some 1 please psot a link to one for the cheapest fan that does the job

Is your system running normally when ur not playing CS or any other game?? If it is it could be due to overheating!! Try changing the fan on your card.
Try searching in ebay...some good cheap fans are available there!!

N all my sound goes to and my computer does a lockdown kind of a thing... it wont let me push the reset button, it has to reset on its own.. and when it ry to turn my monitor back on it goe onto like a standby...

No and nothing else runs after that happens im forced to restart

Try some different drivers. I had some weird monitor issues when I was running ATI cards in the past.

My 9800pro has many issues with the newest ati drivers. The 4.12's are the best choice for speed and reliability right now.

The 9800pro gets very hot, perhaps the ambient temp of the case has risen to cause instability?

Whats your system specs? What is your power supply rating?

It could be so many things, listening your system specs will help.
