problem playing games in win2k

I recently upgraded to a geforce2 mx from a voodoo2, and I cant seem to play some games any more. For example, when I open up Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force, all I get is a gray screen and my computer locks up, also when I try to place Star Wars: Racer, the game starts up, but it kicks me back to windows. I uninstalled my previous voodoo drivers and installed the latest detonator version 3 drivers. Do I need to try older drivers? If so, where would I get them? Most places only have the latest one. Thanks.

i had the same problems with games as you are with my GeForce2 MX. here is what i would do:

make sure win2k sp1 is installed
make sure you have DX8a installed
get the 6.18 detenator 3 drivers (all later versions caused lockups with me)

i'm pretty sure you can get the drivers Here

hope this helps!

have you tried uninstalling the games and reinstalling them? I had a similar problem when I finally got rid of my voodoo2s. The games somehow only wanted glide driver and wouldnt load until I uninstalled and reinstalled the game.

Thanks for the suggestions. I still had the voodoo2 and my old ati card, got rid of them. That didnt help - going to try reinstalling the detonator drivers.
