Problem overclocking (prime 95 error)

Well it looks like my Opteron isn't stable above 2200mhz.... That is really pathetic.... Oh well, I gues I just have to deal with it

Dont believe everything you read. There is no performance gain for anything over 800.

I find that really hard to believe. 2.2GHZ, maybe, if you're really unlucky. 2.05GHZ? You must have been playing catch with your son in one of those rooms full of mirrors.

Room full of mirrors, while waling under ladders, spilling salt, all while black cats are crossing your path. The thing is though this is the reason you can get such great overclocks. The ocasional chip just can cut it at higher speeds so they have to rate them lower. Kind of like a chain which is only as strong as the weakest link. Glad I only need one link out of the chain though.

i think this is indicating a ram problem for you.
i have ocz platinum rev 2 and an opteron 165.
its running at 2.7ghz stable, but my ram wont go very much higher and still be able to pass prime. i can run it day in and day out as long as ram isnt too high. i am getting the exact same errors as you are.
use a ram divider and set it down.
although i can run stable at 240mhz ram speed, i cant pass prime. so thats why i leave it at 200mhz.
