Hi!......trying to get anything besides auto detect in soft menu only works as long as I dont shut comp down! at that point, when i press the power on switch....it goes into the fan detect warning mode and wont boot.....tech reps from abit say to disable the fan warning detect in "pc health" in the bios.....sorry, no dice....did that and comp wouldnt boot period!
I've never had probs with P3's with just a conservative setting of 112 fsb only....this is my first p4 though........wazzup!
Can someone plz help with the actual settings in soft menu III to set this? do i need to adjust dip switches on the mobo?? what???

MY hardware: .....P4 1.7 / 512mb PC 800 Rdram / Raid 0 configured / Ge Force 3 / 365 watt Enermax power supply / more than adequate cooled

Thanks much!

Hmm, have you run the board stably at default speed yet (100 fsb)? If not, that would be a good place to start. Once you get a good known starting point then you can start to tweak. Since you can up the fsb in 1mhz increments perhaps it would be a good idea to up it gradually too, you might just find you are taking it a bit too far at 112 fsb.
