Hello,

i tried playing around with the overclocking of my comp.

i have the intel e6600 with p5d deluxe. only setting i changed with the FSB to 333, set ratio to 1:1 and upped memcore V to 2.1V. everything else left on auto.

seemed fine, restart comp. to return to stock setings, my comp powers up but there is nothing on the screen, its as if the moniter is not hooked up to the comp which it is.

can someone please help, getting very worried now.

try clearing your BIOS by using the jumper on the motherboard with power cable removed or remove the battey on the motherbord if you dont know how to use the jumper

When that happens, your o/c has failed. I'm pretty sure your board has the crash-free BIOS, so all you need to do is reboot and you will be forced into BIOS setup.

Can you tell us what mem you are using? Also, what was your CPU voltage? You may have pushed the memory too far, or you have to boost the vcore. Hard to say until you provide more info.

well, removed the bat and everything is back to normal, set everythign back to stock levels.

i have corsair XMS2-6400 2 X 1GB. vcore was at 1.25V, mem volt was at 2.1V.

can you give me a head up on how to overclock but to do so so that this dont happen again. and also how to check if the OC is stable.

thanks

here is my full rig:

intel E6600
ASUS P5B Deluxe
Corsair XMS2-6400 2 X 1GB
Asus en7600gt gpu
Antec Neo:HE 550

Post in the P5B Deluxe sticky thread. I'm not familiar with the particulars of your board. I'm sure someone there has the same setup as you and can suggest some settings for you.
