Problem logging off....

Whenever I try logging off of the "limited" or "guest" profile, the system does nothing. It doesn't freeze or anything, but it will not log off.

It just sits there, then it'll show the log-off screen (pretending like it's gonna logoff ANY second), then my monitor goes black. No nothing from Windows (urgh!).

Anyone know what maybe causing this?

Sorry, man. This just seems like one of those problems that there is no diagnosis or fix for. Chances are, something got corrupted and windows needs a fresh install. You might try running System File Checker (sfc.exe), or try running a repair install. If all else fails, you're gonna need a reinstall.

But it only happens with those two profiles, so it is probably an issue with something related to those accounts or those account types.

Can you ping the machine after you've 'logged off'? Can you remote desktop into it? If you create a new admin-level account and log off of that what does it do? If you log off of those accounts from within safe mode what happens?
