problem loading powerdvd

I just did a fresh install of powerdvd 6.0. It is on a freshly formatted system. Windows XP SP2. I can't seem to get the program to load though. I click on the program, the hourglass comes up indicating something is loading and then nothing happens. If I check in the Windows processes though PowerDVD.exe is running. Though I still am unable to actually see or use the program.

Has anyone else experienced this problem before? Is there a solution?
