Problem: linksys WAP disconnects when cordless phone rings

So i have a linksys WAP and it disconnects from my labtop when ever my cordless phone rings or when i am useing the cordless phone. Its a 900mHz phone.
any ideas?

I think that is inherent with all radio frequency appliances. It does the same for me. Even when using cell phones.
 
Radio emission is not restricted to the precise main frequency (the phenomenon known as Harmonic emission). However Harmonic emission is not as strong as the main emission, keeping the ringing phone far away from the WAP should solve the problem. Trying another 900MHz phone instrument may help too.
