specs:
xeon x3220
Corsair pc8500c5d ram
striker extreme
hitachi 1tb deskstar
creative x fi
logitech mx revolution/g15 keyboard
apple 30" monitor
2 8800 GTX's

The installation is freezing after it loads all drivers when it says "Starting Windows SetuP". I see it power on my keyboard (Because the LED display turns on) then it just stops responding

Anyone have suggestions?

So I'm going to go out on a limb and say this is a type of server computer you have built yourself here? Well as far as it freezing, tell the truth is it pirated or an actual disc? In most cases a messed up DLL or insertion point in the disc could be currupt. As far as your hardware, there could be possible motherboard confliction, but im not completely sure... I don't mess around with server builds too much.

When installing XP SP2, best results are obtained when ALL peripheral devices are removed from the system. Make it as bare bones as possible, then reconnect devices one at a time afterwards.

And make a memtest run. XP setup is very particular about faulty RAM.

how long do you wait after the "starting windows setup", because i have seen a couple of machines that seem to take a little long then normal to get past that
