Problem installing wheel & fltstick on sblive game port

Just got this wheel today and I cant get it to detect in the install. Its stating notconnectedafter I boot up with the controller connected. Ive added it in control panel and it says it has the port in system properties but nothing. I've reinstalled the snd card drivers too. I only install the drivers, none of the extra creative stuff. Any ideas?
