Problem installing red hat linux

Red Hat 8 may actually work well enough for your purposes on nForce hardware.

The reverse-engineered nForce ethernet driver is in all recent 2.4 and 2.6 kernels. In fact, the funny thing is that once the open sorce driver clearly circumvented problems in NVidia's closed source driver, NVidia submitted huge patches. Oh the things companies do!

So if you're up to learning how to compile a custom kernel, the nForce should be just fine.

They are ISO files, you're not supposed to unzip them, Nero will burn them as they are.
If you have Nero 6, go to "Recorder -> Burn Image" and then point to the first file.

oh noes!

My computer won't boot into windows it just keeps restarting, must be those dang iso files =p ughhh...It started doing this after i swapped out a hard drive to recover some data for my bro. tried resetting bios with jumpers, tried just a single hard drive (my normal windows one) even tried a new IDE cable. ideas?? and i know this should probably be in hardware or troubleshooting, ill move my next questions there...

and yea you're right sunner, they are iso files, god i feel like a n00b lol, i just saw the .rar archive icon and assumed they were compressed with rar or zip. bad news is my pc refuses to boot now but good news is i have a second computer to download them...again. hooray for another full day of downloading! =/
