Problem installing RAM! Please help!

I am in the early stages of my first build and I have already hit a wall. 😕
I can't get my RAM to snap down into place. I have the correct kind, it is facing the correct way, but it will not push down far enough. Granted, I have not been pushing too far, as I am not really sure how much pressure should be applied. Is there some trick to it? How hard should I have to push?
My specs:
- MSI K8N NEO2 PLATINUM Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce3 Ultra ATX AMD Motherboard
- CORSAIR ValueSelect 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Unbuffered Dual Channel Kit System Memory Model VS1GBKIT400

Please help!! Thanks!

Are the black clips in place on the sides of the RAM slot or not? If they are in position, move them out and put the RAM in. proly is just come simple problem with the memory locks lol
