I tried installing Nero imagedrive but during installation I got a message saying the program didn't have a Windows XP compatible signature. It asked me if i wanted to continue or stop so I chose to stop installation. Now, I want to finish installing and use Imagedrive but when I try to reinstall, it asks me if I either want to update the version or uninstall. If I choose to update, then the update finishes successfully but the program won't run. It gives me an error message saying I'm missing the Imagedrive driver and that I need to reinstall the program. If I try to uninstall, the process gets interrupted and it can't finish. Basically, I can't get rid of the program completely so I can reinstall, and I can't run it as it is.

Nero Imagedrive comes with Nero, but it needs to be installed separately. Since I already started and aborted the installation process, it's on my computer as a separate program as Nero. Completely reinstalling Nero allows me to try to reinstall Imagedrive, but when I do, it detects it on my system and the same thing as above happens.

Any help would be appreciated.

Use the windows uninstaller program to see if you get better results. Also try to go on Nero's website for updated XP drivers. Remember, XP is not a DOS based application and will need a new set of drivers specifically for XP. I have run into similar problems with other perifipherals and most manufacturers provide the downloadable versions of their driver upgrades. If all else fails, see if they have an 800 tech number to call, if not, there's always the "for pay" number.

Good luck!!!
