Problem installing drivers for 6800GT

I'm having some problems trying to install my drivers for my Leadtek 6800GT. I previously had a Leadtek Ti4600, I removed the old drivers first and then installed the new video card. I put the new driver CD in, it copies the files then asks me to reboot the system. When I reboot the computer tells me that it has discovered new hardware and tries to reinstall the drivers again but says it is unsuccessful. I removed the newer drivers and tried again but it says installation unsuccessful because the data is invalid. I have Windows XP SP2. Any ideas on what is wrong?

To recap: you removed all old video drivers - you shutdown computer - you removed old video card - you installed new video card - you powered up computer - before you put in the new driver cd did not the WXP system detect the new video card and want to put some drivers in for it?
