I've had a strange problem with my p4p800 deluxe not recognizing the primary IDE channel on cold boots. I get the standard NTLDR not found error and if I go into bios after a cold boot it shows the secondary IDE and tertiary IDE (primary RAID) channels, but it says nothing is installed on the primary IDE. If I restart the system at the NTLDR error, the primary IDE channel is recognized and it boots up fine. After a restart, bios will also show the primary IDE drive.
Everything I have is installed on PATA channels in the following order: 1 single 120 gb hard drive on the primary IDE (my windows xp boot disk), a master and slave optical drives on the secondary IDE, and a master and slave (non raid) pair of 120 gb hard drives on the primary raid channel. I have tried switching drives out, and whatever drive(s) are on the primary IDE channel always follow the above behavior. This problem has persisted through several bios flashes, and I've tried playing around with all the bios settings I think might be related to no avail.
