Problem Fixed

I just checked my setiq for the first time in a couple of weeks because I haven't been producing WU's at my normal rate. I looked at my user page and it says there are two users. Me (Pyxis) and some other user I don't even know (Team Anandtech@CU Boulder).

How the hell could this have happened? The only thing I can think of that happened one week ago is I connected that comp directly to the internet instead of through my router because I was having problems with my cable modem. And that's when SetiQ says it received the last WU that came in under my username from that comp. Jeez, I connected it for only 10 minutes and it gets hacked into right away😕 Even though it was connected directly to the internet I still had ZoneAlarm set to high security.

Damn I got to get to class but this sucks. I have to check that comp to see if anything else is f'ed up:|

Pyxis,

Do you connect to Orange Kid's SETIQueue? If so, there may have been a problem with WU's and ID's in the user_info.sah files for the WU's....

Go to your SETI folder and check all the user_info.sah files to make sure they contain your ID. If not, Delete the offending WU's and download new ones.

This has been an ongoing problem since OK's crash 🙁

That's Ken. I think his forum name is Ken_g6 or something like that. He's a TA member. 🙂 Probably a user_info.sah screwup somehow. Let him know. 🙂

Also Pyxis - it's not your computer's fault that the CU Boulder ones are showing up. It's that particular user's. There's nothing wrong with your computer. If anything, you should see an increase uf WUs because of the added accidental help from CU. Do check out your own user_info.sah files though to make sure that your completed WUs are actually going towards your own count. PM Ken to let him know what's up with his WUs too. I'm sure he'd appreciate it.

Thanks for the help everyone. I already changed all the files that were messed up.

Ken_g6 made a post earlier about the exact same problem. He had my WU's and I had his.
