Problem downloading EXE's with Internet Explorer

Ive just now noticed that when I try to download an EXE type file my internet explorer is now just Opening the file instead of asking me wether or not if I want to save it or download it.
 
I found out the problem in the registry....I had to remove this part of the registry key

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.exe]
@="exefile"
"Content Type"="application/x-msdownload"

Not sure how IE just all of the sudden did that though, its like it associated EXE's with Internet Explorer to open them. Hopefully this will help someone else out that has a similar problem.
