 Hi, I am trying to follow the procedure recommended in the ASUS P3V4X motherboard manual. I boot using the startup floppy and No CD support and get to the DOS prompt OK. When I try to FORMAT A:/S I get the following message "Insert DOS diskette into drive A and press enter". I try and nothing happens, the message just keeps repeating itself. Also, in DOS the normal "/" key gives me the letter e (in French), so I tried with the "/" key beside the numlock and the "`" key beside the "1" key, both ways no luck. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Create it in WIndows 98..with clean disk in A: just type format a:/s from run ...You cant do it in WinMe as it is not supported... then add the flasher and bios bin file that you downloaded.. boot to the disk and run the flasher exe

Thanks. I decided to download a basic W98SE startup disk and add the AFLASH utility afterward. The one I tried to create from the program manager was too big. Backed up the original BIOS successfully.
