Problem: Constant Blacking out LCD Screen

I'm using a Dell 17" LCD under a GeForce 4 Ti4600. Runs fine, but every once in a while (happens probably every hr or so), the screen will black out for a second and return (Think of when you first boot into windows, and the screen will do a quick blackout/reset). I'm not sure why this happens, but I've noticed that Device Manager keeps adding monitors and I believe that everytime there's a black out, a new monitor is being added. This doesn't affect anything in terms of stability or performance, but it IS annoying. I'm pretty sure the black out doesnt happen while playing games, but I haven't had time to play a lot of games lately so I don't know for sure.

That ti4600 probably didn't come with your Dell...Did it? If not, it may be PSU constraints, I had the same problem when I upgraded and a better power supply solved it.

NYHoustonman,
It's a Visiontek Retail Ti4600 and is part of a home built computer. What power supply did u have and then change to?
