I think my problem is due to an incompatibility but not shure.

When I start any program's that call the Ddhelp.exe (Direct Draw) this program crash with the standard message (ddhelp.exe. This program as perform an illegal opperation an will be shutdown.).. So I need help to resolve this problem.

I already reinstall, window 98, directX and all driver ;-(..

Thanks In advance!

also are you using a motherboard with a VIA chipset?

i'm using an older gigabyte 7ix AMD based one

make sure you have the 4 in 1 drivers installed for VIA chipset?

Any program that need to access the direct draw.

Half-life, Flash, unreal, D2, etc..

All program that need to acces the direct draw that call the hardware, all of this program crash with that error.

I can't run anything.. ;-(..

Waht is your ATI Driver version and your DirectDraw, directX version ?

Every direct x game i have runs fine, including UT..it must be your 4 in 1 drivers...try reinstalling them

it says my direct draw version is 1.00 and my ati driver version is 4.12.3044

ok you have the FIC sd11 mainboard which is a VIA chipset

download these 4 in 1 drivers that are zipped into 1 file...unzip them and install

drivers for your board

after you install them let me know how it works...my email is in my profile

Do not install the agp vxd driver from the 4in1, the sd11 only uses a via southbridge. You will need to install the amd agp driver for your board, which you can get Here

Your right Templeton, the sd11 has a mixed south and north bridge..me bad :( ...at least that agp file won't install on his system so he can dl the proper one

MG download that file that Templeton gave you also, it will give you higher performance :)
