Problem browsing the net

I am able to connect to my ISP but having problem surfing the net.
What could be the cause of this? Please help.

Are you able to ping numeric IPs *and* domain names?

Have you installed/uninstalled anything recently?

What operating system are you running?

Are you able to use any other 'net applications (email, ftp, etc)?
