Maybe you should wake up REALLY stupid one morning.
Everytime there is the slightest problem, ASK for his HELP.
"G I just can't seem to figure this one out!"

In other words FORCE HIS ASS TO PULL HIS WEIGHT.

Eventually when he catches on, explain to him WHY you did this and maybe he will clean up his act!

<< Now I'll admit I?m the first one to hit Yahoo! Pool & AT when everything here is caught up and running smooth but not when there are active tickets that need to be worked. >>

Funny how nobody has chatised YOU for going on yahoo pool and AT while at work.

That pc is owned by the company. You are using company resources, on company time, to play games. That is the same as corporate theft and no better than what the other guy is doing. Just because you do it less than him does not mean you are any less guilty. They are NOT paying YOU to play pool or go on AT either.

When you turn this guy in, the next person they will be looking at is YOU. They will find YOUR indescretions and will have a reason to fire YOU as well.

If you turn the guy in, you are a hypocrite. Bet that there are other employees who bitch about YOU being on AT and playing pool!

My advise? Shut up, do your job, and STAY OFF YAHOO POOL and AT while at work!

We are allowed to use the PC for personal stuff *if* there is nothing else for us to do.
They aren't pricks and they aren't going to make us count paperclips until a new ticket comes in.

Ask your co-workers to watch him as witnesses. Then file a report all at once.

write an anonymous letter to management about him. Tell them to check up on him and you do not believe he really does his work. be nice about it, and not too pushy, just tell them your opinion of the situation. They will handle it. If they don't. Write them another note.

*Update*

It seems as though the situation has worked itself out. My manager came to me and advised me that I was going back to 1st shift.
They are hiring someone new to work my weekend shift and the guy who hates to work will be training him. This basically means that for several weeks most of the work load will be falling on him and based on what I've seen lately, I'm not so sure he can even can do the job alone.

Also after talking with several coworkers that have had other dealings with him, I've learned that the general concensus is that he is both incompetent as well as lazy and that someone else has already mentioned it to management and they are keeping an eye on him.
